Best Beats of the 90's

What do you think are the best Prince instrumentals and beats from the 90's that still stand the test of time...

Personally the first song that comes to my mind is Pheremone.

I like so many beats he has made. One reason I'm a fan, is I look forward to his funky beats or aggressive beats.

But "The Exodus Has Began" is a good beat. So is the beat of "The Flow"

So is "My Name is Prince" (which was also in a remix of Cream) or the remix of "7" that was used as the beat of "2 Whom ever it May Concern"

Love the beat "Slave" and the funky weapon remix of "New Power Generation"

How do you define a beat? more than kick, snare and hihat, right? Rhythm elements and sample loops too.

Gett Off is a better song than Get Off.

I am sure you know the difference, between the hit song Gett Off and the b-side Get Off?

V10LETBLUES

The 90s is not a good place for Prince, and especially so where beats are concerned. That's when he completely gave up on interesting beats.

If I was going to call something out it would have to be something like Pheromone because the beat and the groove are one and the same. Or something like the Bump Squad where again the beat and the groove intermingle and are really one and the same.

I am a big fan of the clickyty clackity electronic beats he was exploring in the late 80's, early 90's with tracks like 101, The Future, Pheromone and the glorious I Wish U Heaven 123.

What is so great about Pheromone, do not understand the love that song gets here.
