Walk Don't Walk or Shy?

Two gentle acoustic mid-tempo numbers from the early 90s.

I'll go with Walk Don't Walk, I just wish the stupid traffic sounds could be edited out.

Judging by the title of the thread, I thought you meant The Jacksons song!
On topic, Walk Don't Walk to me sounds like it belongs on the Disney Channel, it's that cheesy. Shy, on the other hand, sounds slick with the funky guitar playing, so I'll go with Shy.

I like both, Walk is a bit corny but it makes me feel gd, i like the energy/message.
Shy is one of my faves off Gold (+ Shh & Billy Jack) it brings lot of images 2 mind, i like the atmosphere of it.

Shy has some tasty Sly Stone vibes in the Guitars.

Always loved "Walk Don't Walk". Could even be my favourite on the album. Nice to hear hints of "Rebirth of the Flesh" in there too.

Shy is still a hugely underrated song. Most notably by Prince.

Shy is a great song. But never been crazy over some of the lyrics. I'll pick Walk...its aged very well. Unlike many songs form that era

Walk Don't Walk. Its such a timeless piece. Weird effects, crazy lyrics and such a departure from that album it sounds like a cool bootleg

After listening to the original version of Walk on the original configuration of D&P, I was surprised how much of difference those traffic sounds made. I still can't decide if it was a good or bad.

Now the light fades out and I wonder what I'm doing in a room like this

Walk Don't Walk for me however Shy is a cool song and really should have made it into Prince's after hours shows

I want really to understand these kind of useless topics, that are plenty here...What's the point in comparing two songs that have nothing to do with one another ? I mean, seriously ?

Do you really care about what people here think about these two songs ? Would it make a difference in your taste?

What was your intellectual procedure to pick this very two songs ? Why not compare SHY and DIAMONDS AND PEARLS ? Or WALK DON T WALK and 319 ? etc.
