PRINCE: Greatest Hits in the Modern Era

We all know that Prince has smash hits and pop classics all throughout his 70s/80s/90s output... but what about those present-day albums that have a song or two that stand with his very best work? Here are 15 classic tracks from the Modern Era:

1. Funknroll (Plectrumelectrum Version)
2. Lavaux
3. Dreamer
4. Time
5. Somewhere Here on Earth
6. Fury
7. Call My Name
8. Colonized Mind
9. Future Soul Song
10. Anotherlove
11. Tictactoe
12. Breakfast Can Wait
13. Musicology
14. Chelsea Rodgers
15. Way Back Home

What other songs, if any, would you include in a Modern Era greatest hits package? Sound off in the comments below, and thanks for reading!

I'd throw out Time, Breakfast Can Wait and Chelsea Rogers and replace them with Breakdown, Act of God and Gold Standard. Other than that, it's a good list.

I have read a lot of hate for some of the above songs on this site but what can I say? I like what I like.

These songs were chosen by my "most played" songs on iTunes.

If I had to make any changes to my own list it probably would be FunknRoll that would swapped out with Clouds.

Sorry for the slow reply. Great suggestions, Emma! Must admit that I haven't heard "Groovy Potential." Perhaps I'll come across it one day.

There's not one track on your list, I'd consider as great! Some with potential, but they all lack in the production department. lol

Fine list, RJ! Don't believe I've heard of "My Medallion," "Why Should I Do That When I Can Do This," or "Hypnoparadise."

Simple but effective, I like that. I completely forgot to include tracks from HITNRUN: PHASE ONE since I'm still forming my own opinion of it. Thanks for reading my post!

My Medallion is on some version of The Chocolate Invasion...the others 2 are on The Slaughterhouse...along with other modern era classics like Golden Parachute and "Silicon"
