Don't Let Him Fool Ya

Such an amazing FUNK/MPLS Sound song... Incredible this wasn't released... I'd even dare 2 say this track has more funk than anything on Dirty Mind and Controversy.

It has a nice feel but it's not that great IMO -- I can see why he chose to release something else.

it manages to do something that very few prince songs ever do; it bores me smile

it's funky and it's nice, but it's a 20 second idea turned into a 4:30 min song.

lies. The song is good but to say it has more funk than Head or Let's Work is cray

From listening to the lyrics, it could have been slated for Purple Rain as Prince is clearly talking about Morris and his rivalry with him. It definitely could've been used in the deleted scene were Prince broke up the rehersal and punched Jellybean.

I'm glad I got to hear it. It's kind of funky and kind of funny. But you're absolutely right, it's a cute little idea that was stretched too thin.

This song really has the raw "sound" of Dirty Mind, the rythm guitar played on the Hohner is too reminiscent of Head and i think that's why it has been discarded. Yeah, it's a loop but really played all along, not like today where it's so simple to loop a 2bars groove... So much respect for that ! Don't stop the groove.
