The Dog Formerly Known As Prince

Got a big kick out of this listing on my local shelter's website. I wonder if an org member wrote it lol

Hello Everyone! I'm The Dog Formally Known as Prince! You may wonder why the staff named me that - well, it's because I'm petite (like my namesake), and I can have a bit of an attitude when you first meet me in my kennel!

The staff thinks I'm a Shepherd/Basset Hound mix; I'm 2-years-old and 35 pounds of fun! If you meet me in my kennel, you may think I'm a bit of a jerk, but ask one of the staff to take me outside, and you'll see the real me - silly and goofy.

Please stop by and ask to see me. I'm a great guy, and I know we'd make a great team! As the real Prince would sing, "I just want your extra time and your kiss!"

Very sweet, and I hope the little guy gets adopted soon! But one thing that has bothered me since 1993: It's FORMERLY. Not "formally". F-O-R-M-E-R-L-Y. Sorry, big pet peeve. And I hope "Formally Prince" gets to be somebody's "pet" peeve too smile
