Anyone else hate the way Boom segues to Crimson and Clover?

Sounds like a mix tape compiled by a deaf pit bull with wheels for paws.

Then I want a deaf pit bull with wheels for paws working on Hitnrun!

I think it runs perfectly together with Crimson, it's when you put Boom on a playlist that it becomes a problem. The same thing can be said for Dreamer.

Dreamer is more troublesome. Boom you can at least butt up against something else in a playlist.

yeah, it's a shame. i used to have an edit made by a friend, which just repeats
the last bit of the song and fades out, which sounded perfect. but i didn't put it
in my Lotusflower folder and deleted it by mistake. i'll have to make a new edit

of it one day. even on the album it doesn't flow smoothly enough, especially on

the version with The Morning After.

Don't have a problem with the segues but the songs themselves. Both sort of a copy and paste creation.

Completely agree. I first heard the album from the digital download, which had The Morning After following Boom and works much better for me. When I first heard the configuration with Crimson after Boom it seemed really jarring. I have Crimson at the end as the bonus track on my version.

RIP sad

Might have to try that.

I can't even remember how it sounds, but I recall it was annoying. I made my own version that segues perfectly between "Boom", "The Morning After" and "Crimson & Clover". Haven't listened to the original since.

"Feel Better" is another one that segues annoying from "Colonized Mind". When it comes up on shuffle it's really jarring. There was a version of "Colonized Mind" with a clean ending that circulated when it first came out (I think from some radio broadcast). I edited that clean ending on the album version. But I've yet to come up with a way to fix "Feel Better" that doesn't sound jarring or like a cheap home-made edit.

I did this, too, and it sounds as if they were meant to be sequenced this way. I've listened to it like this for so long that I forgot that Crimson and Morning After were originally swapped out for each other on different versions.

Ya know, with his propensity for puzzles and head games, I wouldn't be surprised if Prince meant for us to buy both versions of the album and figure out the correct way to combine them.

Hi-yo Silver, it's The Bone Ranger!
