Article claiming that footage of 1983 first Purple Rain footage has "emerged" http://consequenceofsound...983-watch/ The video is gone. No surprise. Has new footage emerged or is this the same bullshit article from some writer who doesn't know the footage has been around forever? Did anyone see this video before the link died? "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Yeah this was on Okayplayer as well, which also made the claim that this had recently "emerged". Guess some people just don't bother to do any research before they write an article about something, but that's not really anything new. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Yeah....all these damn foolish people seeing that doctored footage. It's so poorly done. I don't see it possible how one can see that terrible footage, with it's terrible casting choices and come to the erroneous conclusion that it's Prince, Mike, OR James. One, Michael looks black in the video. EVERYone knows Michael Jackson is white. 2, the distorted, choppy, lined, and staticy footage is OBVIOUSLY just poor FX in some iVideo app. 3, Prince is NOT that tall by any means. It's a RIOT that every so often, people go running around spreading the silly propaganda suggesting this dumb video is 'authentic'. There isn't even an ⅛ of an ounce of credibility in this 'production'. No one even know who made it....like...c'mom man....  [Edited 9/2/15 18:15pm] | |
