I think this is a great tune and it fits decent on my aoa mixtape ... Even with hanna singing its ok because allo sits in for a few songs too ... Train and another love are the only plectrum songs that i can listen to and enjoy

ok tune for emancipation or mayte's album, but very weak for a rock album like PlecElec. the drums are so tinny and weak - why didn't he use hannah? it's very straight forward and by the numbers - very monotonous, where's the experimentation - even a solo or breakdown would of made it more interesting, but it just plods on.

Love this song. It doesn't feature on any of my prince play lists though, even the plectrum electrum/AOA one.

Put it on my 100% reggae mix and fits in great on there, which is rare for a prince song. Blue light excepted! smile

I don't mind the song, but it's out of place on the album. Seems unnecessary. Plus I don't really rate Hannah as a vocalist. I would have preferred to hear this sung by Prince or maybe one of his plethora of other female vocalists.

If you're going to read it as dark then it's way more than kinda dark. Suicide is very very very dark.
What?

I removed this tune and put Live Out Loud in place of it.

I agree it does not fit whatsoever with the album. I was kind of suprised to hear a song like this on what is actually a great rock/alternative album. Threw me off.

I'm not sure where people are getting a suicide message in this song. I thought "Stop this train, and never get back on," was referring to a train of thought, i.e. "I'm going to try to stop thinking about you, and get you off of my mind."

"That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

Where? From people who have taken their lives due to a broken heart. The train could be a real train - they want to go back home to the person they love. The train could be a train of thought. The train could be the life they're living without the love of their life.

I'm glad it's not just me who didn't get the suicide message. I even Googled the lyrics to see if I missed something and wondered if there was a Jump Off This Train remix Josh done on the quiet.

It doesn't have to. Read the lyrics as you wish, dark or not. But you mentioned jumping and I just mentioned another method.
