Nothing groundbreaking but interesting to think back on that time today...

I'm telling you, as a consistent SOLID classic Prince album... Graffiti Bridg in my opinion could've been in his TOP 5...

If you take out all the secondary acts, and just focused on songs like:

The Question of U

Elephants & Flowers

Joy in Reptition

We Can Funk

Thieves In The Temple

Just those 5 songs already are an amazing compilation... Just imagine if he added 5 more quality songs...

Hands down would've been the best album of the 90's... But it wasn't...

Must be a fair amount of deleted scenes looking at the trailer again.

What's your 8-track configuration? Whittle it down to Dirty Mind/Controversy length. We did it a while back with Diamonds and Pearls and it becomes a pretty stellar album (although obviously all our configurations were different!), can it be done with Graffiti Bridge?

Weird yesterday while I was driving to work I was suddenly in a mood for Grafitti Bridge. As I was listening I realized: "Wait, didn't this LP come out around this time of the year? Yeah, it was August. This album is 25 years old this month!"

Then today I see that in fact it was 25 years old that DAY!! Wow! Glitch in the Matrix? biggrin

My playlist for graffiti is this:

1. Can't Stop...

2. Tick Tick bang

3. The Question Of U

4. Elephants & Flowers

5. The Latest Fashion

6. Thieves In The Temple

7. Still Would Stand All Time

8. We Can Funk

9. Joy In Repitition.

That's it. I always believed the other songs should have been on a separate disc.

More interesting is the other article that shows up as related. Prince's albums ranked worst to best.

Someone was smoking crack when they put that one together.

Why does the article say that Prince did the score for Batman? That was Danny Elfmann.
