What is your favorite Opening Line (s) that starts any one of Princes albums? The top ones I feel are just classic or just favorite of mine to really start an album:

1) "Dearly beloved we are gathered today to get through this thing called Life..."

2) " Don't worry, I won't hurt you, I only want you to have some fun."

3) " I just can't believe all the things people say. Am I black or white. Am I straight or gay."

4) " Welcone home class...we've come a long way"

5) " Open your heart, open your mind. A train is leaving all day. A wonderful trip thru all time and laughter is all you pay"

6) " Rain is wet and sugrar is sweet. Clap your hands and stomp your feet. Everybody (everybody) knows, when love calls, you've got to go:

I guess the opening line is technically "Prince esta muerte", no? Also not a bad opening line to an album...

No it was something about the show is about to begin.... I think "prince is dead" is at the end of Endorphin machine

but i could be wrong i have not listend to it in years

And "Prince esta muerto" is an awesome opening line. Prince is gone and in his place is a funked out man and his kick ass band The NPG

One of my favorites is the "For You" introduction.. and a good introduction to his career too

The SOTT line is awesome, but it's not really an intro to the rest of the album, like the others are IMO.

Um they are all the first lines of opening songs on Prince albums, except where an instrumental takes place and in a foreign language. I don't speak Spanish or Street sorry.

I thought it was newvoes el specia doories. Seriously my country is purely British Queens English and Polynesian languages along with sign language. Princebonics is my 2nd lingua franca. I even find American spellings and words an alien dialect, stuff like color, neighbor, center, icebox, fries are colour, neighbour, centre, refrigerator, chips.

Actually I repeated one - ATWIAD and the OP never said I could not, they asked for which lines were my favourite. So grow up and get a life you petty pedantic pedantico.
