SoulAlive

if Prince had a change of heart about releasing this,I wonder how it will affect his deal with Warner Bros. hmmm They can't be too happy, especially after they allowed him to release two 'new' albums last year.

Prince is all about the money.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

.

Clearly he ain't about the money, becuase where is my Montreux 2009 BD?

My PR remaster?

.

If he is about the money they he is in a really fscked up way, making himself unable to do even halfway proper business.

IMO, it's simple. He re-signed with WB to get his old masters back. Who knows if NPG will remaster and release the catalog in the future. And hopefully NOT sanitized.

And why exactly wouldn't he? I guess you don't realize that 1) George Michael and Michael Jackson are 2 different entertainers, not one person and 2) Prince has paid both of them props in the past.

I would ask what entertainers YOU think it's okay to be fans of and still have Prince's approval, but something tells me Prince is the only entertainer you listen to anyway. wink

He isn't, but it seems like folks here just can't shut up about Jackson. You see his name pop up again and again on this and the non-Prince forum. I was getting a little tired of having to read about Jackson all the time on a Prince fan site and chose a not so subtle way to say it. That's all.

Ah, ok. Just want to say that I didn't mean to say MJ was better than Prince or even try to pit a rivalry in the scenario. He was just a random artist whose remastered CD I'd really enjoyed that I compared "Purple Rain"'s sound quality to, in the same way I'd bring up George Michael's remastered CDs and other artists. I see what you're saying though. sorry for being so snarky in the earlier post lol

shrug We're all running on Prince time, so my guess is the 30th Anniversary edition will be available somewhere around the 42nd anniversary.

The only thing that's "coming soon" is whatever currently holds Prince's attention. That's all we know for certain.

Warners seems to be really ineffective these days. They should be demanding this project from Prince! It was a part of the contract, right? I guess they're just gonna sit back and let Prince make fools of them.

If the project was part of any WB-related contract they should sue the bejezus from P's ass.
