Opinions on "Eye Hate U" Extended Mix what does the org think of this version of the song ? its among my favorites lately and u have to love Prince's vocals and forrest gump references . Was this song about Carmen Electra?  [Edited 7/17/15 0:10am] There's Joy in repetition | |

I can remember playing this to death when it first came out. Brilliant song. And then hearing the butchered radio edit which nearly destroys the song and its impact.But at least it still charted. |

I love the extended version. Some great lines like 'Guinness couldn't count the scenes of sex and violence in it.' . With regard to it being about Carmen Electra - its been said on here many times that she slept with Tony M and P wasn't happy but I dont know where that rumour came from or who the source is. | |

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I prefer the single edit. Some of the lyrics on the album version, like "close your eyes, I'ma cover yo ass with this sheet" and such kind of detract from the song to me. But the single edit... one of Prince's classics and greatest songs. It sounds so sugary and sweet with the twinkling music and Prince's angelic falsetto but with the angry lyrics.. and then the court scene and guitar solo. An amazing track, I love it. My favorite part has to be when Prince cries out "did you do to your other man the same things that you did to me?" That part gives me chills. Maybe  do, just not like did before  | |
