Now I've seen another version with a woman cradling the guitar instead of Prince. Made a little more sense, but confused me.

Isn't it similar to one off of "For You" or "Prince"?

where he chilling on bed with a guitar...big ol afro...i guess that narrows it down to for you....i swear i seen a pic of price VERY similar to this one.
