Prince and The Remix

Just wiki'd the history of the remix and Prince is not even mentioned... Not only was he one of the earliest pioneers of the remix and extended editions of his singles, they are stating people like Mariah Carey as one of the first mainstream artists to rerecord her songs for remixes...

Change the wikipedia then if you can back it up with sources. That's what wikipedia is all about.

Don´t think his remixes are very good. Remixes are not extended versions to me. His extended versions are great, but they mostly are the normal song and than a second part. (mountains, kiss, i wish u heaven, alphabet street, anotherlover, LRC etc.)

If you talk about mainstrain artists, Janet Jackson for example has some amazing remixes. She released 2 remix albums.

Don´t know about prince being a pioneer with remixes either. From his first albums theirs Sexy dancer and Let´s work i think. There is one remix of the 1999 album (more of a longer version actually) and from Purple Rain (I would die 4 u, now that is a cool remix). There were already lots of disco remixes in the 70´s.
