The Morning After

I just heard this song for the first time today and OMG!!! It is so good. I never got around to listening to it because of all the Orgers stating how terrible this track is. This sounds like a mix of Maroon 5's best mixed with Good Love. It's a nice upbeat pop gem! This should've replaced 4ever on Lotusflow3r for sure. I will be bumping this a lot in the near future.

It's not bad. I like it. But I can't imagine it on Lotus.

I had the digital download, so was used to hearing The Morning After straight after Boom. When I got hold of a CD it seemed really jarring with Crimson & Clover there insted. So my finally configuration was as per the donwload and with Crimson as a bonus track at the end

RIP sad

I can. Would've been good. Would've saved the guy a lot of trouble if he had put this on the album instead of Colonized Mind. Anyone can understand Morning After. No one can understand Colonized Mind unless you're a fundamentalist Christian and even then you'd go, what is he on about??? And he didn't even give credit to poor Miriam...

It reminds me, in a way, of the Dirty Mind/Controversy era as well as songs like "He's So Dull" and "After Hi School".

Maybe it's the New Wave-ish keyboard lick, but also the simple, playful, 3 minute pop song. Not trying to be anything other than what it is. Bouncy, simple, playful, catchy and fun.

Or if you are an African-American. Or a descendent of a native in a country than Europeans conquered. Take the chorus out and the verses speak to lots of non-Christians.

If it sounds anything!!! like Maroon 5, I never want to hear it. I have the Morning After and it is crap, Lotusflow3r is better for not having it.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Well, it is on Lotus - depending on which version you're talking about. Fanclub version, or store version?

.

I just added it to the store bought version as Track 3. Crimson and Clover is Track 4. It works.

I know. I have the CD version and didn't know about The Morning After being on the download version until a couple of years ago. Lotus had already settled in my head.

Makes sense to me.

.

Many people here have never heard Rave In2, so their concept of "Rave" is based on Rave Un2. .

.

Similar debate, although you and I are only talking about 1 track difference on Lotus...
