Sign o' the Times, I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man, Joy in Repetition...

Debatedly 3 of the best songs of his career were all recorded 3 days apart! Seriously, what a fucking week that was! cool

15 July, 1986: Sign o' the Times, Blanche

16 July, 1986: I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man

17 July, 1986: Joy in Repetition

Very curious about Blanche. Amongst all these classics, recorded on THE SAME DAY as Sign O' the Times, is Blanche. How does it compare? Is it an anomaly or is it another career best?

Lyrically, musically, artistically some of his best songs.

Wasn't "ICNTPYM" revamped from a much earlier recording from before "Purple Rain"? He just rercorded, muted, and added certain elements to make it fit the arrangement style of SOTT?

It was taken from 1980 and the Dirty Mind sessions
