"Sign O' The Times" and "Dream Factory" personal configuration

So, i have just started in this purple world and as far as i know it seems SOTT is the most beloved album of his carreer, and DF is the most beloved unreleased project. And i kind of understand the hype, the unreleased songs i have listened, they're certainly unique and wonderful. So, make your own choices; your configuration for these projects. You can add or leave behind whatever you want to.

SIGN O' THE TIMES

1. Sign O' The Times

2. I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

3. Housequake

4. Shockadelica

5. If I Was Your Girlfriend

6. Strange Relationship

7. Rockhard In A Funky Place

8. U Got The Look

9. The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker

10.Forever In My Life

11.Starfish And Cofee

12.Feel U Up

13.Scarlet Pussy

14.Rebirth Of The Flesh

15. Witness 4 The Prosecution

16.Others Here With Us

17.The Cross

18.Adore

DREAM FACTORY

1. Dream Factory

2. Cristall Ball

3. Od Friends 4 Sale

4. Joy In Repetition

5. In A Large Room With No Light

6. Last Heart

7. Train

8. Movie Star

9. Girl O' My Dreams

10.Can´t Stop This Feeling I Got

11.We Can Funk

12.Visions

13.A Place In Heaven

14.All My Dreams

15.Power Fantastic

I'm not so sure about Witness, perhaps it shoul be in DF.

I think you have to include The Ball, especially considering we now have a near pristine copy of it in the Crystal Ball + The Flesh leak that recently surfaced. It segues beautifully into Joy In Repetition and not that travesty-ridden transition that was hacked together for the Graffiti Bridge album.

.

Others Here with Us was recorded in the first half of 1985, so I wouldn't consider it a SOTT/DF/Crystal Ball era track.

The Ball is not a good son at all and OHWU it sound more in the vein of SOTT than Parade, it has the stripped sound to it like SOTT the song

Others Here With Us is from the Parade era. If you're gonna make your own configurations, it makes sense to at least pick from songs generated during the same sessions.

With that standpoint I'd say you've got to remove Crystal Ball from your configuration, then.

.

I have always associated Others Here With Us with the Parade era and personally couldn't see it fitting in with the sessions you're trying to summarize with this set. Just my 2¢.

Why, Cristal Ball is from Dream Factory album no SOTT, really it sounds for you as a Parade era song, i mean OHWU,i know it is but doesn't sound like one, the same with OF4S

Have to say, this would be a perfect album for me, with Feel u up and Scarlet being the full versions. Only thing is, it would be very long, maybe too long.
