I just keep crossing my fingers that one of these days he'll finally try putting Take Me With U and Raspberry Beret back-to-back. Those songs would sound so good together! Also, can you imagine how well Cool would go with Don't Stop Until You Get Enough? But, yeah, I know, we all have our dream set lists...

If there's one song I'd like to see banished forever from the setlist, it's "Play that Funky Music".

If he wants to play an iconic cover song with a recognisable bassline, he should permanently replace it with "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)". It sounded awesome when he played that in Detroit.

Additionally, more Kiss please. There are some songs that just cannot be played enough.... eek

Nooooo, I remember when I was happy that he was playing something instead of the Sly covers.

You beat me to it.

Makes no sense that someone who has written so many funky songs of his own would insist on including this song in practically every show for the past 10 years or however long it's been.

Give it a rest, please Prince.

That white boy got to be tired of playing that funky music by now. Give him some time off.

I would love to hear some newer stuff but I understand he has to play the hits but why not some different hit?

I will give him these

lets go crazy

take me with u(reluctantly)

purple rain

raspberry beret

kiss

little red corvette

I know he has to play those. But why not some of these

America

paisley park

thieves in the temple

another lover

why u wanna treat me so bad

uptown

alphabet st

glam slam

call my name

eye hate u

the morning papers

damn u

cinnamon girl

black sweat

fury

7

mountains

i want to be your lover

As far as his covers he likes to do why not do any of these

one of us

betcha by golly wow

i cant make u love me

everyday is a winding road

a case of u

lalala means i love u

crimson and clover

People do know these songs. For some reason it seems like he doesn't think people know or like these but the crowd would still love it. And as much as I don't like covers at least these are ones that he actually did and overall did really good except for maybe the Sheryl Crow song but thats just a matter of opinion. It would really freshen up his show for us and it would have to for him. I know alot of us are bored with his current setlist but can you imagine how bored he HAS to be? He has pretty much been doing the same songs for 10 years or so it seems.

I'm with you on "Play In The Sunshine." One of my favorite Prince songs. I love the preformance from the Sign O' The times Movie. I don't think he has played it live ever since the SOTT tour??? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Such a shame. I would also love to hear Lovesexy!

It was on the 3rd CD of the One Nite Alone Live set, as a mash-up with Just Friends by Muziq, but it wasn't a real cover. I think he could kill it, vocally.

How about ditching the rest of the band and just performing two-hour sampler sets. With an average 20 seconds per song, that's 360 per show. We would have songs we love in that.

Or, we could leave artistic control to Prince.

Gotta love those famz. Princey can't do no wrong, even when it involves playing a shite cover. Over and over and over again. Nope, still brilliant. Absolutely no problem. No sirree bob.

classic example is Montreux 2013, saying the 'i got too many hits' thing in the middle of a 7 song covers medley, STFU already, yes you do have too many hits, play the fuckers then! smile
