Is that Dr. Pepper commercial clowning Prince? I first heard it as I was working and not looking at the screen. It struck me as a white guy doing a Prince imitation. Then I saw it and I was certain that they were going for a funny Prince clone - the dude even had on the lace glove with no fingertips from the Purple Rain era.

I just saw the commercial.....yeah, they are clowning on Prince. The impression reminded me of "The Prince Show" skit on Saturday Night Live. I thought it was funny! Oooooooooooh, wait a minute, I think ya betta trip on this!!!!! |
