3rdeyegirl Setlists (What do you want them to play?)

It seems the setlists of Prince's shows this year have all been hit orientated (which is to be expected, given they were charity events). However, it got me thinking, what would I want Prince & 3rdeyegirl playing live? What would be an absolutely knock-out concert setlist, accomdating 3rdeyegirl's rock sound?

Here's what I came up with:

What's My Name (Yeah, they play this already, but it would make an excellent opener, letting the opening stretch, growing more and more intense before the song explodes - they could have a lot of fun opening with this)

Computer Blue (Obviously it's Computer Blue, this would be amazing)

Play in the Sunshine

Poor Goo (Get some Poor Goo chant going in the crowd)

Anotherlove

Cinnamon Girl

Glass Cutter (Is this song not screaming to get the 3rdeyegirl treatment?)

Life Can Be So Nice (The song cuts out like it does on the album, cue darkness)

PIANO SET

Avalanche

Starfish and Coffee

Strange Relationship

ENCORE 1

Plectrumelectrum

Interactive

Da Bang

Shhh

She's Always in My Hair

Bambi

ENCORE 2

Calhoun Square

Joy in Repetition

3 Chains O' Gold

Crucial (Would love to hear this live)

Nothing. They're the worst Prince band since Emancipation/NPS.

Leave Computer Blue out of this, lol

If they as Prince said have their own legacy, then constantly reloading songs from 1980-1988 is not the way to do it. I would love for Prince to Promo AOA and PE and highlight songs from his post WB years that could fit within the flow he is in.

I'd like to hear them plan Lets Go Crazy and I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man in the original style and tempo.

They really remind me of David Bowie's Tin Machine phase, unfortunately.

I like your choices (minus 3 Chains, only because I don't know how a stripped down band could play it). I'd want to hear:

Boom

Chaos & Disorder

Cause & Effect

Calhoun Square

Elephants & Flowers (the stripped down version as performed by P, Josh & Cora in their O2 aftershow in 2007)

Wall of Berlin

Satisfied

The Ride

2Young2Dare

The Breakdown

Even Flow

Dreamer

I'm not fussed about them revisiting too many old songs. I'd rather they play the new albums.

Electric Chair

Temptation

Computer Blue

Elephant & Flowers

Annie Christian

Why U wanna treat me so bad

I'm Yours

Around the World in a day

Life can be so nice

Crystal Ball

God (Instrumental)

Dance On/Chaos & Disorder (medley)

In this bed I scream

Joint 2 Joint

My Computer

I just need some obscure tracks thrown in the mix; we're tired of the usual setlist which have become extremely predictable. Prince has so many songs, he could perform with 3rd Eye Girl or the NPG that'll rock us all out of our shoes!!!!

Prince needs to revamp some of these songs (above) and put on a show of Material we have yet to see/hear live!!!

I was joking about that lol

I know it's like the ultimate Revolution song, but there's nothing saying Prince shouldn't play it anyway. I think 3rdeyegirl could tear that song up live. Also, play What's My Name and Computer Blue back to back - they work so well in tandem with each other.

Nice set list. I'd add "Bambi" in there someplace....they killed that song live here in Portland....incredible. I'd also go from "Pretzelbodylogic" to "Private Joy" to "Sister" to "Marzs"....but he's probably sworn off sister due to content. Need some "Fixurlifeup" and "Another Love" too. Encore "She's Always in My Hair."

The version of Something In The Water they do is excellent, fairly similar to the 1984 birthday show First Avenue one.

That should be on every one of their setlists... cool

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Songs I'd like to hear for the first time, or hear some more of, in no special order because I'm not good at making setlists...

Wow (how can they not play this?)

Another Love (the SNL version was one of my favorite TV performances, easily.)

Traffic Jam (unreleased funk-rock heaven)

Extraloveable (rock version, not the tepid funk version)

777-9311 (a proper version finally, not just a bass tease, please!!)

Wall Of Berlin

Clouds (I thought the SNL version was a bit of a mess, but I'd like them to try it again, as it's my favorite on AOA.)

Check The Record (I love this, and don't know why they abandoned it after playing it only twice, I believe.)

The Breakdown (I'd like a heavier rock version)

I'm Yours

Fury (I've been missing this song)

Sexuality (I'll even take "Spirituality")

Head (even if only an instrumental)

Partyup

17 Days

Tic Tac Toe

Marz

Lavaux (doesn't really fit, but I've wanted to hear this song live since it was released.)

Lunchmeataphobia (one of my favorite Funkadelic songs)

You gotta leave computer blue on the set list. I would love to hear it again live. I think they (3rd eye) could do a good job. So any set list that includes a bad ass version of computer Blue.
