Scotsman1999

I was at the first Birmingham show, and also Meadowbank. Good times. I remember seeing P and the band sitting on the grassy hill behind the stage at Meadowbank (you could see right through), well before the support act (4 Non Blondes) came on. Were TTF (The Time Frequency) also a support? I can't quite remember..

They were very diligent about stopping folk with cameras, searching ladies bags etc. Back when such things were practical and not everyone had a smartphone. Nontheless, I was in the middle and some bloke had a video camera on a tripod next to me - I later picked up the VHS bootleg from a record fair. smile

I miss his outfits. Nowadays he dresses horrible. It looks like he is always in his pajamas today. He used to where some great outfits at his shows.

Embrace

Awesome show with the My name is Prince / Sexy Mf opening. Very tight setlist with

Also Girls & Boys, and Scandalous...

But the experience I had on August 10, 1993, Den Bosch, the Netherlands was one of my best mainly because

they also played Come, Endorphinmachine, Peach/Chaos& disorder, and Johnny as encores. It was an amazing party.

Act II

Did he think Europeans did not like Love Symbol or what? Never understood why so few songs from it on this show.

Pentacle

He had just changed his name and announced this would be the last time he'd perform Prince songs/hits. (.....)

I was just listening to a few bootlegs of these shows and aftershows (with the NPG & Hornz als 'Madhouse 2.0'). Oh, man... I could live with the cancellation of the PR remaster if he'd instead release all these shows in soundboard quality. (And Act I too.)
