Your 'feel good' Prince songs

Hey everyone. Today I was feeling a bit down in the dumps and I decided to put on Lovesexy as it's an album that always perks me up. It got me thinking, what are your favourite songs and albums to listen to when you're feeling shit?

I want to make a playlist of happy Prince songs. Heres what I got so far: (forgive me if there is no breaks between them, I STILL don't know how to put paragraph breaks on here).

Lovesexy (Just because of its general positive vibes)

All of the second side of SOTT

My Name is Prince (just because of how arrogant it is!)

New Power Generation prts 1 and 2

Can't stop this feeling I got

Willing and Able

Paisley Park

Anotherloverholenyohead

Thats all I got so far ~

Add "Walk Don't Walk". It's on my morning playlist to prep for the idiocy and inflated egos that I will undoubtedly endure during any given day.

You consider 'It' a feel good song? It's one of my favourites, but I've never thought it was happy - more desperate. However I do agree about the rest of side 2, especially 'Starfish and Coffee'. I'd also say, 'Uptown', 'Head', 'Crimson & Clover', 'Do U Lie?', 'Kiss'... probably about a hundred others.

Nah, I like Starfish and Coffee but a lot of SOTT side one isnt all that uplifting. Good, but not uplifting haha.

Also, I can't believe I forgot Private Joy on there. One of my favourite Prince songs of all time.

Also again, very funny with the spaces lol

So Strong by Dale Bozzio.

If I Could Get Your Attention by Taja Sevelle.
My Man by Jill Jones.

What can I say?

When I try to lift up, I like my Prince girly-pop and aerobical.
It makes me dream of a world where My Man reaches the top of the American Top 40.

The Colors R brighter, the Bond is much tighter
No Child's a failure

Don't Ever Lose, Don't Ever Lose

Good thread idea!!

On Tuesdays I do three hours of therapy. I often want to cry on the way home from all the mental healthiness I'm acquiring! I ALWAYS listen to Prince on the drive home. My go-to tunes are "She's Always In My Hair," "DMSR," "When I Lay My Hands On U," "I Wish U Heaven," "U Got the Look (Long Look)," "Let's Go Crazy," "Hide the Bone," "Jack U Off," to name a few.

And "My Man" is my absolute favorite track of JJ's. Love it!!!!!!

"Life Can Be So Nice" is the first one that popped into my head. Aside from the song itself, it reminds me of a happier time in my life.
