NEW Official Prince Video - AnotherLove

http://www.billboard.com/...e-premiere

Indeed, it is a bit jagged. Cool how they used the SNL performance as the video.

It's cool... Another Love is one of my favorite Prince songs even if it's not a Prince song, in the last 10 years... smile

So, the fact that Trev Guy tweeted out the vid means there is still signs of life in 3EG

Amazing song!

Not so good album.

Guess Warners is trying to push a few more sales for the Plectrum album, guess they didn't make their moneys worth with a total of 75,000 copies sold world wide. lol nana

Should have been a lead single.

I initially thought--Yay Prince is not finished with this project yet! But it looks like Warner Bros's doing more than Prince/3rd Eye Girl. They must feel like "Well shit if Prince won't do anything for this record, lets pull together scraps from the SNL performance and edit it into a video!" Somebody there is still committed to this project.

Glad to see the video though. It's well done. Way better than anything Prince's current in-house people have done with his recent "videos."

This lyric video was not produced by Warners, its only hosted on their youtube, it was produced by NPG RECORDS.

While its cool to see a new video and for this awesome song....its just ok

Lyric videos are getting old real fast and why is only lyrics with no Prince during much of the middle

In the end its a nice little Christmas gift!

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Actually according to Billboard magazine, the video was produced by John Andosca of JPA Entertainment, who seems to do this professionally for record labels. Whether it was NPG or WB who contracted him, I'd be willing to bet it's WB. Prince seems to have lost all interest in promoting this project.

I agree, this was def on behalf of WB. Like I stated earlier, PE has sold just about 75,000 world wide which is really really bad, regardless of the industry slump or what not. So I guess WB is still trying to attempt anything that will help push people to buy PE. I don't even think WB made money from PE cause of the super low sales.

AOA is a different story, while not a commercial success it wasn't a flop at all. It has sold around 200,000 total which is not that bad for today's standards.

Correct: JPA ENTERTAINMENT produced for NPG RECORDS and who owns NPG RECORDS? Exactly.

I'm not sure why most folks here don't dig the PlectrumElectrum album. I love that mutha, including 'BoyTrouble'.

.

'AnotherLove' is fantastic... I keep rewinding to the spot where Prince rips his soul out on vocals. I can never grow tired of this song.

Of course the material is owned by NPG; that's not the question here. The question for me is who is behind this promotional effort? I would very much like to believe that Prince is, since it would mean he is still engaged. But I see no sign of that whatsoever.

Nice surprise, I wasn't expecting anything more from PlectrumElectrum. I still think that had he done more TV in an effort to promote this album, and used his status create a buzz (ala 3121 with the ultra-exclusive parties) The album could have performed much better.

The lyric video works better in this instance than FunknRoll since the lyrics to this song are important. I still can't imagine the video being put in rotation or song being picked up by radio.

Nice video. I love it how he adds some of his own lyrics at the end. "I'm the greatest living soul U'll ever know." Only one man can write something like that! Love the guitar solo too.

I'm sure he's behind this release knowing how Prince likes to have creative control. The usage of Princebonics in the video is proof enough.

The part about sharing each other's hair confuses me. Did he lend Andy Allo his wig or something?

Good choice as a single.. although I guess it's not really a single, more a "featured track" perhaps?

It's always been the standout track on "PlectrumElectrum" for me.

Great song, decent video ... but only just over 2,500 views at time of writing this comment. Shame!

I just "liked" the video and got a message saying "This video is unlisted. Be considerate and think twice before sharing."

Apparently a video poster can make the video unlisted so that it doesn't show up in searches, and can only be viewed if you have been given the direct link.

That seems like a pretty strange way for WB to promote a song.
