Wanted to ask this yesterday but didn't want to start a thread...

Why were many of the Interactive songs never released on an album, was this during the dispute of Warners with Prince wanted to release TGE along with Come and Warners rejected?

Acknowledge Me

Love Sign

etc...

Come to think about it with all those great songs during the interactive concert, should have been on the album

Rock N Roll Is Alive...

Acknowledge Me

Love Sign

It's a shame Prince didn't get his way with TGE and have it released when he wanted, I beleve he had to wait almost another year before it was released?

It was cooler than cool, I LOVED it, one of the most underrated daring stage moments of his whole career biggrin

And YES it was on the Beautiful Experience film.

It received a limited NPGMC release on VHS in 2001 but according to the poor souls who purchased it it was a very bad recording of an old Japanese TV broadcast, with a quality lower than their own recordings from the original 1994 broadcast falloff Typical prince BS lol

It would deserve to be made available in top-notch quality, not just the TV special but the full show as well, and both the film and show should be offered in both audio and video. That show was one of the most original, playing out of the box, prince show ever. Thanks to the 1994 promo tape and subsequent radio broadcasts we have it in pristine quality, but I'd sell my soul for a video version of it. There was a visionary aspect to both the music displayed in the live show (with that insane use of samples), the film (with its internet hints) and the overall visual aspect of prince and the band at the time.

Yeah, I've grown to love it. The visuals were done with a smaller budget than the D&P/Symbol album era stuff, but this specific era had an edginess to it. Kind of like the 1999 / SOTT eras in a way.

No it was not a wig,Morris Hayes told me >We were shooting a lot of videos around that time and changing looks and clothing. We had to be careful because many video projects were in the works, so I decided to tell Prince I was going to shave my head and wanted to make sure that I would not cause a problem with continuity. He said cool but take a video guy to record it as we may be able to use the footage. I saw him later and he said, "Let me cut it on stage at the NBA party we are doing." I was like, 'Heeeeyyyy! Mark Brown warned me about this! Do I get hazard pay?" He laughed and the rest is history. Really? A forced hair cut? Come on bro. I know that look on your avatar looks menacing but come on bruh.
