Prince and the Revolution live

I know it never came out on dvd but is it true that some have taken the VHS version and made a DVD boot out of it?

"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

Hilarious, this dude is gonna go down in history as one of the greatest artists ever in a live setting who really NEVER released any decent amount of any of his live shows as an example of how great he was.

I have the P & the Revolution laserdisc and it isn't all that great. Some work has gone into the bootleg DVD and it is much better. The main reason it is better is that the video has been lightened so there is much more to see.

Is this the Syracuse concert we're talking about? In that case the Fullasoul release Syracuse and the World is apparently the best according to the now defunct Databank website, I don't know if any better quality releases have come out subsequently to that now, that was in 2004.

Yeah, I think Fullasoul has been gone for awhile because i've heard nothing about them in ages and also Sabotage as well? Think they've been replaced by 4dafunk and FBG?

stillwaiting

It was released in the old LaserDisc format as well. Since that was a little better than VHS, it looks and sounds better than the VHS did. Someone did a good transfer to DVD. I think it was fullasoul..but I haven't watched it in a few years. I've probably seen the show 50 times, so it may be a bit before I watch it again. The original recording was way too dark. Typical Prince production. Nobody tried to explain to Prince: "Uh, if the fans can see what is happening, they will like the video." Still, it was a decent concert. Not on the level of the Parade tour as far as Revolution shows go, but it's great to have a document of what the PR Hype was all about. It still remains one of my favorite shows ever attended, because Prince was so hungry, and it was great to see the band from the movie...it was like you knew them...lol

Does that exist? No, the Fullaoul version definitely has it.

I have a version of the syracuse concert without the effect , I think it's the brave version but I'm not sure.
