3121 King of Queens

A couple of years I noticed this for the first time when I watched the show, but now I actually looked into it... 3121 is the address used in the sitcom 'King of Queens'. Prince, King, Queens... I just wondered if there's a connection. In other words, what is 3121?

Yeah, I searched for earlier posts after I posted this. But still, why 3121?

Why? There's no reason. They had to pick a number. Why not 666 Satan Drive? It means nothing OR someone in set design likes Prince. Still meaningless. That's like me using 319 7 for a PIN number. No connection.

Ok, but why name an album 3121 for crying out loud?!? This king of queens thing is the only place I saw that number again, ever...

Except for this... Google a number and voila... Makes sense... Al about the money

It was speculated at the time that it might be a bible verse reference.

It's also possible that "3121 : The Movie" might have provided a clearer answer.

Sadly that film was never released, but the trailer is out there.

At the time I thought that someone said Kevin James was a huge fan and was spotted at some of the 3121 shows?

Once upon a time, Prince was looking for something to watch when he asked a friend if he knew any good looking TV actress that followed the scriptures. The friend said the closest was Leah something on that show, King of Queens. After all he had seen King of kings a couple of times as a child.

Intrigued, he asked a staff member to find someone who could program it on the TIVO. Turns out only Larry G knew how, so after ritually playing Everyday People with Princey, Larry programmed it

Six months later, Prince finally remembered he intended to watch that hot scripture chick so imagine his surprise when he recognized the lady as Kristy Alley's then best friend. She was too old for him, then Kevin James opened a door and Prince gasped. That ain't no king, or I'm the Queen of England -- and yet I am Prince!

He was about to turn the tv off when he noticed the address. Hey, that makes seven, he said -- the number of royalty to go with the colour of monarchs: purple. Without missing a beat, he sang the melody of 3121 right there and then.

This can be verified at the Smithsonian Institute, I am almost sure.

You guys come up with such stuff...

The whole thing was edited and ready to go out?
Was it a real movie, with a plot?
Looks like a revamped Graffiti Bridge concept from here... smile

Yup. It was reedited in early 2009 and renamed "Lotusflow3r The Movie".

It was shown at the Lotusflow3r launch party, which at least 2 or 3 orgers attended and they saw it.

It was then uploaded to Lotusflow3r.com - but pulled hours before the site went live, for unknown reasons.

Parts of it were shot in Panama with Liza Hernandez.

And the episode you saw was an earlier one.

Show started in 1998.

In a later episode Doug Heffernan says "A 4 ft black man changed the world of music in Purple Rain" - or something like that. Obviously Kevin James - or the writer - was a fan of PR.
