Top 20 Songs 2 Showcase The Genius of Prince 2 a non-fan

So again, you are a die hard Prince Fan, and you come across some folks who appreciate great music and may be musicians, but who aren't in the know of Princes' level of musical genius. It Either was after thier generation, or before, or it could be a number of reasons.

The only opinions they have of P are that he's a "skinny motherfucker with the hi voice", in heels, and wears somewhat femine attire.

Give me 5 ballads to play them to show off his best soulful crooning ability/slow jams.

Give me 5 Funky Tracks to play them to showcase his "funksmanship" and qualify him as a top funksman.

Give me 5 tracks that show his best electric guitar work.

Give me 5 tracks of various styles that further cement his level of creativity and genius.

lol

Hmm.

Five ballads: Do Me Baby, International Lover, Diamonds & Pearls, Scandalous, With You

.

Five Funkys: 1999, Kiss, The Dance Electric, Sexy Dancer, Billy Jack Bitch

.

Five Guitars: Purple Rain, Bambi, Peach, The Question of U, Gold

.

Five Various: Little Red Corvette, Cream, Desire, Crystal Ball, If I Was Your Girlfriend

.

Is this person a poppy fan or someone more into complexity/talent? It makes a difference

Maybe eye do, just not like eye did before pimp2

Good choices! There was no specific person in mind, but those that come to mind aren't into todays pop, definately have talent driven interest.

datdude

is this person a martian or no, because Purple Rain and LRC are the most overplayed/overheard tracks ever. so replace those and the suggestions aren't bad.

I'd add Another Love as a new addition to the 5 Guitars List

I'd add Black Sweat to the 5 Funky

5 Various - When U Were Mine, Dinner With Delores, Soft & Wet, Anne Christian, Beginning Endlessly

That's easy: just hand them Purple Rain and Parade. They'll never question you again.

Good stuff. I laugh my ass off everytime I hear him say "MF" in that song. I typically laugh my ass off when most people say it, particularly Samuel L Jackson.

However did I forget The Beautiful Ones?!!

.

Surprised you switched out 1999 for TBDP in funk... I'd say the second is more subdued sort of funk while 1999 is a suckerpunch in the face. Opinions smile
