He eh. I usually love the "crazy" Prince, for example I love Tamborine, All The Critics Love U in NY or Christopher Tracy Parade.

Little Red Corvette: I never loved the song. The chorus is too "happy" after the dark intro and the timbric of the instruments or the arrangement of the song... I don't know, never liked. Same for When Doves Cry. It sounds me as "hey look at me, I'm a single!", but I ever found it too mechanical and jingle in chorus.

I know songs like Tambourine and Do It All Night are weaker but I don't entirely dislike any tracks from that period altogether.

International Lover and Temptation get on my nerves, but I still like enough elements of them to give them a spin once in a while -- these two songs are too long.

There is Bob George, a song I love musically, dislike thematically. It's not a song that is cool to share with a woman at the office, yet the music is premium grade Prince.

Even Ronnie Talk 2 Russia is a charming little track today. These years will be considered integrally brilliant -- they already have that reputation, so the excesses here and there don't matter that much today. Prince is really a musicologist's dream.

I like Aerogram's answer the most, but I'll attempt a different -- less successful -- tact.

This is obviously Prince's pièce de résistance. Just like Dylan or The Beatles in the 60s or Stevie, Bowie, or Joni in the 70s.

Dirty Mind
Only an album this monumental could make "Do It All Night" or "Gotta Broken Heart Again" appear slight. But I'm not touching them or my "Sister" for fear of eroding the dark theme.

Controversy
Ronnie Talk to Russia: slight fun, not near the quality or weight that would lend more grit to its theme.

1999
Like an average actor or cheesy lines from a masterpiece film, just leave well enough alone.

Purple Rain
I've had thoughts of some of it being too poppy, but now I wouldn't alter a damn thing.

Around the World In a Day
Tamborine: a least favorite, but still very much a humorous segue of sorts. The first and last songs aren't great to me either, though they certainly wouldn't come even close to wearing the crown of "dislike".

Parade
I could list half the album with its short, pseudo, unfinished songs. And that would only prove that I've completely misunderstood this terrific work of art (a group that at one time may have included Prince himself).

SOTT
You'll wake hugging a horse head if a single notes is molested. Contains more astounding music than any album I've yet experienced from anyone. And all seems dark, even while so obviously in the light. Even its weakest moments deserve more profound consideration.

TBA
Dead On It: more indifference than "dislike". If I didn't enjoy the album as much as I do, I probably wouldn't have long since left by the wayside.

Lovesexy
A third of the songs here are far from favorites if separated from this headphone masterpiece produced in what feels like unadulterated joy. But I don't want to make a better compilation, I want to listen to this.

Batman
The first two and last two songs nearly hint at another typical stunner. But the midsection is far from "dislike", more decently silly ("Lemon Crush") to very good ("Partyman").

The only 80s songs I don't really care for are Do It All Night, Do Me Baby, Let's Work, and Temptation, and Kiss. I will still listen to them on the albums but as stand alone songs, they kinda bore me.

The 80s songs that I absolutely HATE are Girl and I Love U In Me.

The Arms Of Orion is a horrible song but the string arrangement at the end is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard.

You people's lists are crazy...so many good songs. I don't know how u can't love Tamborine. Always have dug that little tune.

The only two I can think of is Temptation because of the ending. Slow Love is a little too slow at times. I don't mind Arms of Orion...yes its cheesy as hell...but still an ok song with great strings.

It's one of Prince's masturbatory tracks where he cuts loose. The stripped sound, druming the wild finger cymbals, gutter base
They lyrics a playful cover of what he's talking about ...a face in a magazine

I don't see what's dumb about the lyrics

Adorecream

Only songs I don't like, not ones that are meh! okay or kind of good.

.

Dirty Mind - None, I love this album, every song is a gem.

.

Controversy - None, not as good as above, but still an amazing album. Two lesser songs that rate good rather than great. As I still really like them I will keep Annie and Ronnie a secret.

.

1999 - Some of it loops on and on, but that's a good thing, nothing on this album even comes close to being not liked. Godlike music from a new God.

.

Purple Rain - His most epic album and again nothing on it is less than superior!

.

ATWIAD - even this album, a few okay jams, but no stinkers or meh! songs.

.

Parade - 6 albums in and Prince is proving the quality control is the number one priority. The worst song sits a full 5/10 above a song I don't like.

.

SOTT - A masterpiece on the killer album c\scale, every song is blow your head off quality, even the just a song songs are epics. Prince's chaff here is everyone else's wheat.

.

Lovesexy - Not as good as above, but there is nothing to be named as a I don't like. Not even close, all the songs are good or great or Anna Stesia quality.

.

Black Album - nearly forgot it, all the songs are average to good and I like them all sorry.

......THEN.....

.

BATMAN - well well well, Lemon Crush, Vicki Waiting, Arms of Orion and Trust are crap and I can't stand them. The rest is good to great. Electric Chair is good enough to redeem the 4 bad ones.

.

Only one B side - God, what the heck is it about and its self indulgent.

.

So lets see 4 songs off the latest album of the 80s and a throwaway B side, that sets the bar high for any artist. Prince music from the 1980s is almost impossible to fault.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Agree 100%.

Heck, I can't even think of any unreleased songs from the 80's that I don't like. I honestly don't think Prince recorded a single turkey in the '80's.

Not to defend the person saying this as I too love "Condition..", but theres certain songs the majority of fans love that some dont. Me personally, I don't like "Sometimes it snows in April" and people tend to worship that song. Could never get into it, but I didn't list it in my response above because it fits in perfectly on Parade.
