Pretzelbodylogic Is Actually Catchy

Can't believe I'm saying this, but after hating this track for so long, it has finally grown on me...the chorus is just so catchy! I ain't got a clue what a Pretzelbodylogic is though. But leave it to Prince to let the music come through the confusing lyrics! I actually wouldn't mind this song opening up a concert it would get me pumped cool

er

Oh yes it is. It's the kind of chorus that sticks in your head and won't leave. Which doesn't mean the song is good, but yeah, it is catchy.

It works well on the album, I never really 'got it' as a stand alone song before.

Snip off the acapella intro and it's a good song.

The chorus I think works... as a chorus.

shake No matter how many times i've played it i still find the chorus cringe worthy
I'm know to play Prince care free in front of friends and family
But when this song came on i jumped up and turned it down, i felt embarrassed disbelief

Cant believe my purple psychedelic pimp slap pimp2

And I descend from grace, In arms of undertow

Oh there are far worse songs to have to embarrassingly turn down in front of a group of people. Unfortunately there are times when that is not a possibility.

For instance, when I went and saw Justin Timberlake on his 20/20 tour, the Barclays Center played the entire D&P album in the arena before the show. The actual confusion on people's face when Jughead entered the ears of 20,000 people was priceless. Oh how I wanted to run to the soundboard and turn that shit off. lol

I think it's Prince doing a Joan Jett sound. You know like this but twisted and sped up:

I do wish it just started with the beat.

I dig it. It reminded me of Joan Jett a lot!

It's not bad - no real kind of earworm, but certainly not the embarassment some had painted it as. It's one of the few keepers from Ho-Hum Elec-Bum.

I must say that as a lot of people seem not to like the chorus, I just wish the London gigs PA version was released which doesn't have the chorus and simply repeats the phrase 'Pretzelbodylogic' quickly in succession.

The songs on these 2 albums are much better when on the album than stand alone tracks. Pretzel is actually good and would be much better without the intro. i hate it.

Joan Jett? psst..it is obvious Prince was chanelling Ozzy Osbourne's "Irom Man" on this track. Listenfor yourself:

The groove, and the rolling warm bass remind more of "I Love RocknRoll" especially with the space between verses while the beats goes on.

Iron Man has always sounded a bit stiff and goofy to me.

But both songs are a simialr vein of rock n roll.

It is sort of wonderful and terrible at once. I like it! Plectrum Electrum is creeping up on me. In a good way.

for me, the chorus to this song is one of the worst things he's ever done

Could be the best hard rock vocals he's ever done. Still don't know waht the hell he's talking about but he sounds like he means it. Especially towards the end.
