One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure

What cracks me up on this forum, and in the Prince fanbase in general is that every time an album comes out there will always be split reviews. If you think that a certain album SUCKS, there is always going to be someone else that believes that same album is BRILLIANT!! The truth is that Prince has such a broad range and scope of ability, creativity, and style, that he will NEVER please everyone at the same time. There have also been times when maybe I didn't get what Prince was doing with an album at first and didn't quite feel it, but over time I grew to love it!! I didn't just jump out and down the album right out of the gate! I choose to take each offering from Prince as it is on it's on merits, and appreciate it for what it is. That's the thill of being a Prince fan, you never know what he will do next. Now that's how I choose to process and Enjoy Prince music. Everyone is different. I am excited about AOA and PlectrumElectrum, not because i think that it's going to be some FLAWLESS offering from the man, but because In 2014 my favorite Artist is STILL fascinating me with something fresh and New. Thanks for listening...

Nah.. This shit is just B_A_D. These albums have the same writing level weaknesses that doomed almost all of his recent projects, including some of his pre-Dirty Mind work. In order to treasure these new albums, you have to value bad songwriting.

There it is. You just proved the point that I was making...lol. I have enjoyed everything I've heard so far, and a lot of other people have also. Well, to each their own. I'll be bumpin' the music loud on Tuesday. Maybe you should just pop Purple Rain back in on Tuesday instead smile Take Care...

er

Which makes it all the more surprising that this time, the vast majority of orgers is positive about the new album, while, as you say, it used to be like the Israelis & the Palestinians over here. bitchfight
