The lasers in breakdown make sense now

Does anyone else think that in the context of the album AOA the lasers In breakdowns makes sense now?

No, I still think it would've been better without them. Is it the lasers that are breaking him down? Dunno. It IS one of the best songs on the album tho'.

The lasers make complete sense in the context of the whole AOA project. There are weird elements all over this album.

The lasers never really bothered me. I don't love the vocal delivery on the song...and it kind of drags. I do think it sounds a lot better in this configuration.

Lasers or not, I just dont like this song. I think the production is really poor and the song just doesnt fit on the album. It really needed updating with electronic sounds and base and sweeping synths with something a little more clever than a laser. But even like that, I might still not be able to get past the monotonous, droning "down, down, down".

Not particularly. There's a couple of tracks that have new-age psychobabble in them, but it doesn't remotely make the album a sci-fi opus or anything. They still sound distracting, and in a ballad of all things, goodness me.

It's like saying Tony M makes sense now. If I want to hear stormtroopers firing off lasers, I'll put in the Star Wars DVD I never watch anymore. If I want to hear a near great Prince song ruined by horrible sound effects, I'll put in The Breakdown.
