Top Ten Album Covers This is kinda hard to picture them all... Ok I'll start... 1. Yes, I like the Art Official Age album art very much. And the Lovesexy album in my opinion deserve to be in the top for it being such a "ballsy move" and the controversy it caused. And plus I really do feel the Album art fits the music (musically, lyrically, and sonically) perfectly. | |

I don't see it reflectingnthe contents much at all. I get the whole 'rebirth' thing...but the record was happy, bright, full and busy. On the cover prince looks almost sad. It's stark and empty aside from a poorly cut and paste deflowers. Little color but a flas of purple and a touch of green. The record is so BAM but the cover is so Bleh. | |

Around then world in a day is his best. And a damn close sign of the times. Dirty mind is good. Purple rain is good. 1999 is good. Parade is good taking the style of the film into account and b&w is brave for and album cover. Rainbow children is pretty damn good too. Come definitely conveyed a mood and attitude. I enjoyed that one a lot but it gets heat. Lotus flower and 20ten bring up the rear. For you... Sux. Prince....sux. Controversy...meh IMO, but I see why people like it. The black album... Sux...lovesexy...sux. Batman...sux. Grafitti bridge...sux. D&p...sux. ...sux. The hits...meh...nothing great. The gold experience...sux. Chaos and disorder is decent. Exodus...doesnt suck, but it ain't nothing to write home about. Emancipation... Sux. Crystal ball sux. Vault...sux Rave...sux. One night alone...interesting...but meh...almost wtf. WAY to photoshoppy. One night alone live... Quit sucking in your cheeks fool and get your hand off your chin. Expectation...SUX...c-note...sux as well as offensive. Almost clever if not for how offensive. News....sux. The chocolate e invasion and the slaughterhouse... The exodus stylenis revisited..but entirely amateurish looking. Musicology...atrocious. 3121...some style but still VERY boring. The fun and attitudes of the album are not addressed at all...just flat out boring. Planet earth...uninventive and in imaginative. A bit photoshoppy as well. Indigo nights was shoved in a book. It was an OK book cover. A little class but unimaginative as an album cover.Art of official age wudda looked better as the me one negative thats floating around. Its bold...bit I'd like to hear the whole recordntk see how the cover flows with it. It doesn't seem to suck...but it ain't his best by no means. Imma leave it out of this cuz it ain't released yet and not quite sure how to judge or interpret it. | |

As much as I love the LoveSexy music, the cover art just always looked like bad Photoshop to me. Even though Photoshop was just being created and I'd have no idea what it is until actually another 20+ years later. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. | |

He was playing on his sexuality a lot back then and that's cool but definitely wouldn't have that artwork up on my wall... The vault just seems cheap..
