If I didn't come to the org I wouldn't know these albums had released in the UK today. Normally friends or family let me know there's a new Prince album, even when I've already had them ordered for a month. But there's been not a peep from anyone. Either everyone finally hates me enough not to bother or there's a distinct lack of advertising. RIP  | |

Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart and I went straight to the music section. Once I got there I saw that on the new release section there was no Prince album or 3rdEyeGirl album. I then went to the Prince section and I see 4 copies (2 of AOA and 2 of Plectrumelectrum) on there. I'm like 'ohhhhh noooo...you all are at the wrong place" and I put them on the new release section, covering 4 albums that I didn't think were worth seeing so the people walking by would be like 'new Prince music huh?'. Love God. Love Music. Love Life. | |

I also thought Warner would pay radio stations worldwide to promote the new album.
With the lack of a proper single and a video that get rotation on tv i have the feeling Warner has no interest/ faith in the new albums. We also don't know about the contract between P and Warner... [Edited 10/3/14 3:04am] | |

...And still no news from the re-release of PR. What a waste, this poor timing. i'm pretty sure Wb has no hand on things such as obliging Prince to shoot a new video or to perform any song. They don't have interest to spend money on that, because they don't own the masters. If the artist doesn't to promote anything related to the albums, they can't do anything, except play a record on the radio. But they must have been disgusted by the strange behaviour of Prince. Remember when I predicted that past the third week, the albums wouldn't be in the top 40 anymore ? |
