The 2 Albums: We’re lucky in INDIA

The great thing is that iTunes is releasing both the albums a day earlier, that is, on 29th Sept 2014 in India.

And the price for each album is Rupees 150 (Approximately $ 2.50)

er

In Europe, albums are usually released a few days earlier than in the US. Over there, Tuesday is the release day, over here, it's the Friday before that. So there's no nood to pack your bags and head off to the Subcontinent. Although that would be a helluva trip. Somehow I doubt there's a lot of Prince fans there.

They're not according to the Amazon customer help page in the UK, might be different for other countries' Amazon but I doubt it:

Bit Rate

Where possible, we encode our MP3 files using variable bit rates for optimal audio quality and file sizes, aiming at an average of 256 kilobits per second (kbps). Using a variable bit rate allows us to allocate a higher bit rate to the more complex sections of music files while using a smaller bit rate for the less complex sections. The average of these rates is then calculated to produce an average bit rate for the entire file that represents the overall sound quality. Some of our content is encoded using a constant bit rate of 256 kbps. This content will have the same excellent audio quality at a slightly larger file size.

Apparently iTunes uses 256, and although I'm no expert in this I believe AAC encoding (the one Apple uses in the iTunes music store) sounds generally better than MP3 at similar bitrates. It also hasn't used DRM for a long time, whereas I'm unsure as to whether Amazon does, they seem a little iffy in that regard.

Tbh although I'm by no means an Apple fan (I don't use iTunes at all as I find it an incredibly frustrating piece of software) they seem a little better in the ways detailed above so I would probably preorder from them.

Ok, cool, thanks for the clarification, I probably should have researched a bit more before I put that bit in, don't want to be spreading misinformation.
