Updated unreleased top 10

Several, excellent "new" unreleased songs have come out recently -- like the full version of Adonis & Bathsheba. So if you had a top 10 unreleased, has it changed in recent years?

1. I Wonder
2. 1000 Hugs & Kisses
3. Purple Music
4. Adonis & Bathsheba
5. Play (Can You Come Out and)
6. Possessed [the really funky vocal version]
7. The Line
8. Lisa
9. What Did I Do?
10. Turn It Up

Dropped off the list
Extraloveable
Miss You
Heaven
Good Man
Go
Electric Intercourse
"Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

In A Large Room With No Light
Electric Intercourse
We Can Funk (DF era)
Extra Loveable
Good Man
Do Yourself A Favour
The Dance Electric
Allegiance
A Case Of You (1st Avenue '83 live version)

It's just changed in the sense that I've started appreciating "In A Large Room With No Light" more and more over the years. "Good Man" is a track that I often forget to include in these lists, but it's definitely among my faves. Can't stop listening to it when it comes up on a playlist.

The only "new" outtake that would get into my TOP20/TOP30 would be "Lust U Always".

It was released on One Nite Alone Piano album. But it's a cover anyway, so not sure it really counts?

RIP sad

Many of the outtakes have been released officially later as updated versions (there's at least two on my list and most others were released officially by other artists). The version on the ONA piano album and on the Joni Mitchell tribute is very different from it and has barely anything to do with how he used to perform it in the past.

I understand the "vague" status of the version I've included, but then again, "Electric Intercourse" is from the same show and usually when people refer to that song they're thinking of the version from that same show. I certainly am.

Adorecream

Adonis and Bathsheba is a great song, but I think its a little overwrought in my opinion. It would rank in my Top 50 unreleased. But I realise the bar is set so high with some of these tracks and these songs to me are just the cream of the cream, the elite music. I felt Prince held all this shit back, because he felt the people would not get it.

.

My Top 10 unreleased (Includes songs offered and used by Proteges)

.

1. Electric Intercourse (Always has and always will be number one in my book)

2. Purple Music (The sheer inventiveness and funkiness of it all)

3. U gotta shake something (Credited to the Flesh, but Is uspect its Prince/Madhouse?)

4. All day all night (I could put all the Jill Jones stuff up here, but won't, I mean the Jill Jones versions are great, but the Prince takes are sublime)

5. Baby youre a trip (As above)

6. Wonderful Ass

7. Screams of Passion (Prince and the Revolution version)

8. Possessed

9. The Grand Progression (I really LOOOVE This) cool

10. Empty Room (1986 version, although I like the 94 one too)

.

And theres about 50 more unreleased songs that come darn close. I know as soon as this post goes live, I will think of another jam (Or either it comes one thru the ipod) and I will think "Why did I not put that song in the Top10".

.

I doubt I would still be such a hardcore fan, if it was not for all this unreleased music that he has.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
