As far as I know the song is totally unheard, even Princevault says "nothing else is known about the track" besides being a 1996 Emancipation outtake. What did u hear? A snippet? If so it must be a new leak. Please let us know biggrin

A couple of 1 minute Or so snippets did surface and one was an instrumental and one had some vocals.

I didn't save them.

Snippets were leaked about a year ago? Maybe it was longer, but definitely within the last 1-2 years. There was 2 or 3 different snippets, as I recall. One with vocals. Very, very short clips. Alas, I didn't save them either. They weren't online for very long.

I didn't save them as I thought the whole song was coming and there were just a teaser.

shame this couldn't t be shared. It sounded like a very good ballad.

I have a snippet named "Sample 3", 1:19 long...

however.. I am not 100% sure we are talking about the same song?

at the beginning, Prince is saying: ... "You reached the party --- "...I can't come at the phone right now, if you want to, then leave a message.."

I like this snippet a lot..

Yeah, I think it was a few years now, and it was 3 clips

As i recall the instrumental was just the intro loop a few times
There was a clip that went to fade out as soon as prince started to sing lol
A few days later a longer clip was released, just over a minute long
Too bad a full version hasn't surfaced

Yeah that 's the one and then he makes a phone ringing sound. It fades just as it sounds it's going to the chorus.

This had a very pretty melody. It's a shame that it cut off before the chorus came in.

It was an emancipation out take. I know I've not heard the whole song but you wonder why when he had ballads like this, Journey to the centre of your heart and goodbye he included the covers.

It was shared on a blog but I can't remember which one. Probably closed down by now.

whenever if ever it surfaces, I'm gonna make me a new version of Emancipatio by removing cover versions and use only original songs.
