Your dream remasters/deluxe editions of Prince albums? I would hope for a 35th anniversary remaster of Dirty Mind or even a 25th anniversary edition of the Batman OST or even a 35th anniversary edition of Prince's 1979 self titled album with b-sides, outtakes, rarities, alternate/12" mixes, or even concerts from his heyday. What do you think should be the configurations for your dream remasters? | |

I would want a SOTT Remaster with tracks from the Camille album added. Maybe even some remastered Dream Factory tracks as well. This Could Be Us But U Be Playin...

I just want everything, Prince and side projects. Why choose when we can have it all? . What I also hope for is just not random outtakes alongside the remasters (I don't really care for random tracks) but the release of cancelled projects/unreleased albums such as The Flesh, Madhouse 24 (the 2 of 'em), The Rebels, Margie Cox' album, Milk & Honey, Madrid 2 Chicago etc. (there have been so many), as well as cohesive albums made of outtakes, i.e. not random collections à la Crystal Ball but selected collections that make a cohesive ensemble either because they belong to a similar era or because they shar a common sound. . And as stared earlier I really hope that alongside the SOTT remaster we'll get a proper release, at least digital, of Crystal Ball (1986) as it was intended b4 it became SOTT. . I would simply want a choice:
Individual Deluxe 2/3 disc sets for all albums through Lovesexy
One Gigantic Limited Edtion Box Set with all Warners albums remastered through the end of his Warners time, with multiple unreleased songs...Why? Because a remaster of Gold, or Come isn't going to make dollar one without being part of a massive set where you simply get everything. I don't know...limit it to 10 to 20 Thousand, and give it individual numbers, like collectors like.
I don't know...35-70 cds, $300 or so. Yes, that's a pipe dream, won't ever happen. | |

I would also want a box set with all of his 1978-1992 albums remastered and with the B-sides, extended versions, and unreleased songs and concerts on individual sets included with the box set. The box will have about 40-45 CDs compared to the Achtung Baby Über deluxe edition  | |
