WoW !!!!!!!! 30 years !!!!!! Can't believe it. God it makes me feel old !!!!!
I was working in Blackpool as a waitress in a small hotel at the time. It was my day off and as it was a bit dull and grey (nothing new there then!). I walked to the other side of the promenade to see what was on at the pics. It was a small place as I remember and there were about three films showing of which one was Purple Rain. As I'd heard some of the tracks on the radio for a couple of weeks, I bought a ticket, plonked myself in the small screening theatre like surroundings, and I was blown away !!!!!!!!! After that, went out and bought the 'cassette' soundtrack as I only had a boombox in my small room and played it to death !!!!!!!! Happy days xx Still a big fan. I'm wondering since the concept of celebrating birthdays goes against his belief system, maybe celebrating an anniversary isn't really high on the priority list. So maybe it's coming just not coinciding with a specific celebratory date. | |
