i just noticed that he's played the entire Purple Rain album during that show.

not in exact order, but the following was performed:

take me with you (part, as medley with raspberry berret)

darling nikki

when doves cry

father's song/computer blue

i would die 4 u/baby i'm a star (as a medley)

purple rain

he even did 'god' instrumental

however, don't let that fool anyone into thinking this is a real stellar show.

as always, there's nothing actually wrong with it. but it's boring as fck. the

whole concert sounds like one long jazzy midtempo watered down snooze

to me. weird period, just before the AMAZING one nite alone tour.

Darling Nikki must have been an instrumental right? I know this period is before the real proselytising began, but I've got bootlegs of the time period before this where he sings the christ instead of the cross in The Cross, so I'd imagine he was fully indoctrinated before this concert took place.

On the 2ooo hit n run tour Prince performed full version of Darling Nikki with fucking the floor paRT.only did he stop singing it in the mid of 2001 with Darling Nikki seguing into Joy And Repetition

it starts with marching band kind of drums and plastic orchestration,
(think 'curious child' but more kamasutra) then he sings most of the

lyrics (except for the 'masturbating with a magazine' and the 'grind'

bits, yet he substitutes "phone number" for "panties" lol)

they even play the backwards message at the end of it, it's weird,

but not in a good way. it sounds like a bad cover band doing prince.

i heard at least 2 versions from that tour with Prince actually singing mastrubiting,grind.there is a video also

No, Small Club I've had 4 about 20 years, I know it by heart. Thing is that over the course of the last few years I've downloaded dozens of bootlegs, mostly soundboards, and I haven't had the time 2 listen 2 all of them because there r loads of other things I wanna listen 2 just as well. So it's like a buried treasure and every once in a while I'll dig one up and listen 2 it and it's cool that way

It's actually a good show not sur why some pople are hating. Sound is great & theres a prety good blues passage on guitar if i remember right.
