Kobalt has now added Prince to their Roster

I don't know what's going on.

Anyway, if you click on Prince, it just goes to the 3rd Eye Girl website, like it does on the Epic website.

Did you hear/read this, or is it a guess? If you heard/read it, would you kindly tell us where, if possible?

Thanks,

I wouldn't call it a guess, it's the current logical assumption based upon the hard recent evidence that we have.

That is to say:

3rd Eye Girl songs have been released on NPG/Kobalt. 3rd Eye Girl have signed a deal with Kobalt. We know that an album exists and is scheduled for release this month.

A recent Prince solo song has been released on Epic, separately from the 3EG project. We know that Prince played some material to LA Reid prior to signing with them.

Until we find some more evidence, this is the only logical assumption as to what the plans are. We may get both of those albums, we may get neither. But it's clear that what I posted is what the plan is, assuming there aren't other mitigating issues with both/either project that we're completely unaware of.

In other words, a guess. Your preamble got things off to bad start. Is a "guess" and a "logical assumption" two different things now?

Of course. Guesses aren't supported by evidence. But you knew that, I'm sure.

Howzabout "reasonable conclusion for the time being"? Militant's making sense from what little we know, and going about it in a logical manner--he could be completely wrong (or things could change even if he's right--even record companies with printed CD have been blown out of the water by Prince's whims), but it's more than a guess.

I wouldn't count on it being right--but I wouldn't count on it if Prince had walked up to Militant and handed him a handwritten notarized statement detailing release plans. Or if he'd walked up to me and done the same.

Anymore, I halfway expect anything he does release to have a built-in "whoops! I changed my mind" feature, where he can, at any point, drop in new parts or eliminate bits from my personal copy without my consent. Or even replace the whole album.

Guesses can be supported by evidence and are classed as the equivalent of logical assumptions under some forms of logic theory.

This smells wrong. You've realized your error, tried to backtrack, and come up with only further obfuscation. What a mess. How about we agree that your logical assumptions have no basis in fact. Leave it at that.

My assumption is, and this is based purely on the fact that it is the early hours of the morning in the States, that no album, Prince or 3EG, will ever be released in the next 15 minutes.

.

Furthermore, I would guess based on no evidence at all, that neither album will include a 30 minute jame titled "Bing Bong Jammy Jam".

.

Therefore, I conclude that the next album release will not take place until September 2014 and it will be a Prince and the NPG release. More of the same.

.

Any yes, I have my sauces. Very tastey they are too!

Before this thread goes on lock, now would be a good time to remember:

With Prince, NOTHING is ever certain. We have about 40 years' of experience on this and if we haven't realized it by now, the problem is with us, not Prince.

Therefore, the best thing IMHO is to just wake up each day, check the Org for an announcement of the release of a new album, song or video and, if there is no such announcement, then enjoy what you already have.

Prince.org - a place where people think guessing is logical. I think that just about sums it all up.

Id like a source for that as well. Kobalt continues to promote Liv actively. He may or may not decide to give PE to them, but I don't think he's closed any doors to any option at this point.

Change it one more time..
