be the same sort of thing.

I endorse "The Latest Fashion," "This year the latest fashion is to die the heat of passion" etc is a stronger set of lyrics than "My summer time thang," which is really slight. I like the extra Prince contribution and the old "..like playing pool with a rope line." It just feels like a better track which is why I think Prince put it on Graffiti Bridge." I am interested in what the rest of y'all think.

I like the Morris version of TLF, a bit cooler and some nice guitar. I like Prince's cheesy rapping though, so the album version is cool too. MST is great too.

The keyboard, guitar and bass make for a perfect song.

Prince singing here and there on the track ain't bad either.

I think The Latest Fashion was a wonderful funk track on Corporate World, and I'll never understand why Prince ruined it by turning it into a revamp of My Summertime Thang, so if we're talking original versions I'll say TLF but if we're talking released versions I'll say MST.

I love P's rap on TLF, though.

I also never understood why the album has a battle track between P & TT but the movie features them battling over 2 separate songs. Silly if u ask me.

Both were originally recorded for Corporate World by The Time and were 2 totally different tracks. When the project evolved into Pandemonium, MST was edited and kept on the new project and TLF was totally revamped: among other changes, P substituted the original music by the basic tracks of MST, making them twin songs of sorts and yeah it ended on GB. Why he did that is a mystery.

Some of the mixes of the Time singles from GB/Pandemonium are pretty nice actually. There's one that's got snippets from the movie in a similar way to Batdance and the one that uses the same sample as 7. They might be the same one, it's been a while. Shake! I think it is! Some of the others are nice too, Chocolate has some decent ones.
