Should Prince hang out with someone his own age?

In the recent past, P took his cue from elder statesman like Larry Graham - and we all know how that particular brand of religious fundamentalism turned out (not very good music).

Now he's hanging out with people a third of his age (not even half his age). People who, by P's own admission, have a strict, authoritarian and religious upbringing that make it easy for them to defer.

My question is: do you think Prince should hang out with someone his own age? Perhaps even someone that believes in enlightenment values and not the supernatural?

Why not? It could be cool.

Honestly? I think he should hang out with whoever he feels comfortable with because I'm sure a large portion of his adult life has been spent questioning the motives of those around him. He should be able to do whatever he wants and not have people questioning his every move. I don't see how age even plays a factor in friendship.

Personally I don't care about who he hangs out with. This is quite an odd thing to ask about in my opinion and something I'd never have even thought about myself.

I'm asking not telling. Your "age shouldn't play a factor' sentiment is all very noble but, back in the real world, what if Prince had peers that could challenge him intellectually?

Is this a response to the question, or do you just like talking about yourself?

You're making a lot of assumptions. How do you know that he is not hanging with people his own age and that he doesn't have anyone challenging him intellectually? Unless you are around Prince a lot and know his circle of friends, there's no way of knowing that he is not. Last year, Prince said he has no time for "old people", maybe he was talking about people who have old ways of thinking as far people in his employ.

He is an adult. He can hang out with whomever he likes. I don't care who he hangs out with.

Since when has there been a correlation between age and intellect?

3rd Eye Girl have Prince more inspired and exciting than he's been in a while. He's doing a lot more interesting stuff since Donna, Hannah, Josh, Ida and Trevor appeared on the scene.

So based on that, the answer to your question is no.

Have we forgotten LotusFlower so quickly? I haven't heard anything from third eye that matches that single collection (not the two throw away disks)

That was 5 years ago. A lifetime in Prince terms. 5 years is the difference between Controversy and Parade.

Well, niether you nor I have any idea what he does day to day, so we can't say he doesn't hang out with intelligent people. Besides, what if he enjoys being the one to challenge the intellect of others, which, I'm sure, we can all agree he is more than capable of?

Check my post above where I take into account someone who disagrees with me. You, on other hand, think that responding back with a few non-sequitors and vague generalizations is fine. Well, for me, it's simply not good enough.

You're obviously taking this all a bit too personally and I'm sure I've hit home with you at some point. Who told you that you could moderate, anyway?

WHY?

I really don`t care about who is hanging out with.

Age is such a little detail for me... biggrin

It's interesting....Prince and Madonna are both the same age and they both have that same mentality about young people.Madonna goes on tour with young dancers and won't even date a guy unless he's in his early 20s lol Not sure if this is a good or bad thing

Sadly for you, the entire staff of the site. Don't like it? There's a link at the top that says "Log Out".

Now, since this thread is rapidly descending into the same nonsense that *literally* every other thread you've ever made has turned into, it's time we nip it in the bud.
