would u rather have a new pop oriented Prince solo album with FALLINLOVE2NITE as lead single or.. a new rock oriented album with 3rdeyegirl?

For me a pop album would be great, the single is superior to the 3rd eye girl "rock" music. FallInLove2Nite is amazing. Love it. Prince 4Ever.  | |

Prince is trying a bit too hard with the 'rock' thing for me...screwdriver and Fixurlifeup are some of the shallowest tracks I've heard from him in a long time (and that's saying something) but Funknroll, Boogiouise, Fallinlove2nite seem to be more natural...they're not earth shattering but they're not too jarring either. Multi-disc albums are more risky for the record label as they are more expensive. Thus they usually sell less unless all discs contain strong material. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. | |

What's more risky: A double album with a CD of Prince and a CD of 3rd Eye Girl, or a single CD by 3rd Eye Girl feat. Prince?
It's not like the audiences of New Girl & Arsenio really got to learn anything about 3rd Eye Girl. They just know Prince. Besides, they can keep the price of a double down to the $15 range and still make money. [Edited 3/14/14 5:34am] Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'... |

Yes I would rather have a new pop oriented Prince solo album cuz I'm not so impressed by the songs from 3rdeyegirl, I belive I will only enjoy less than half of Plectrum electrum since I fear it will be another lame album in the same vein as Musicology [Edited 3/14/14 6:11am] Welcome 2 The Dawn | |

I want the rock album by 3EG. This Josh-style of electro-pop music is ok I guess for some, but its not what I listen to Prince for. I listen to Prince for funk and rock primarily and the occasional sexy ballad. If there's a double album I want the one to be 3EG and the second the NPG album with Big City and the Breakdown. Change it one more time.. | |

I'd like both. At one time, I would have preferred 3rdEyeGirl. But to be honest, I'm a little worn out on the branding. (Though not as worn out as I an with the NPG and its ever-rotating ensemble of interchangeable, soulless players.) And of the 10 or 11 songs he's officially released in the past year, I like the solo tracks more than the 2 official 3EG tracks that have been put out. | |

The real question to me is: why doesn't he just release an album combining all kinds of styles, like he used to back in his heyday? Single or double, whatever. It's exactly his mastery and unique mixing of so many different styles that made so many of us so addicted to his music, right? This is not music, this is a trip

Well, admittedly, I like the rock sound over club music but I do love Fallinluv2nite. My taste in music is not really set on one genre so I think anything they put out I will instantly love or it will grow on me.. they always do. =) Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh! | |
