Prince's modesty?

I've noticed over the years that Prince has a tendency to use 'we' a lot when asked questions about his music/concerts/projects,etc... . Is he just trying to come across as modest by giving band members credit or is he suggesting that a lot of his ideas are collaborations?

Nope. He's using the Pluralis Majestatis. He is a Prince after all, right?

Yeah, I think he uses that word when more people than just him are making significant contributions to the songwriting / arranging process. Seems to apply only to individuals that he considers a part of his "inner circle" though (The Revolution, Larry Graham, 3rdEyeGirl, some of the Welcome 2... -tour musicians).
