Cheesy track. There is no way in hell this will be a hit. This is not "hater" talk, just reality. I listen to almost every type of music on the radio when I am out driving, and as much as people bitch and moan about the state of music on the radio, there is nothing this atrocious on ANY format radio station.

Good choice as a single. It might get air play alone by keeping Zooey on it. It will certainly pick up more spins that Pretzel or Funk&roll.

Not sure about the whole marketing strategy.

I do sense a whole split project two album think coming on. If it doesn't then its a marketing car crash.

This song would be played primarily on Top 40, z100 radio. The type of stations that play Pitbull and Flo-Rida. I can't imagine Hot 97 playing this joint. After the second verse and chorus, the instrumental break just puts me to sleep. The music I like and the verses are good as well, but the middle and ending of the song got repetitive and could have used a variation in harmony. I wish Prince the best with this song, but it's either Plectrum Electrum or bust.

This track is as modern and "today" as "Disco Duck", except at least that track was far more nuanced and edgier..

it would've been cool if he added some funky guitar rythm on top at the end . He kinda played it safe but there's some cool elements like the horns synths and strings at the end to keep it moving. I dig it.

You know what else is repetitive and could have used variation in harmony? Pharrell's "Happy" and yet they are playing the shit out of that on the radio. I think the radio likes repetitive tracks.

Exactly! The only thing is missing from Prince track is a trademark Prince "ahh wah" scream....

Excellent news!! Everyone I know who has heard this from the show likes this song and believe me they HATE Prince. It is also a younger crowd who I have played this for. That could be good news for the general public as far as a hit. I am glad to see him back with a major label!! Good luck Prince!!

another plus to this is Zooey has 5.39 Million followers on her twitter account. If only 25% of them buy the cd thats a great sales volume for Prince just from her fans.

Ok so..mmmm....it's a cool little track. Trademark horns, vocoder vocals......buuuuuut.......this is not a hit. Maybe a minor hit. I mean, Zooey's vocals are pretty flat and the beat doesn't drop. I can see a remix maybe making it a big club track but this is a pretty stiff recording. Other than being excited that a Prince track is getting jammed at a club, I don't see myself dancing to this in a club.

I think this where Prince is these days. He can do whatever he wants now, even have an actor who is not a singer sing on his new song. Maybe Epic can make something of it. Let's hope so.

I'm holding out for PlectrumElectrum with 3rdEyeGirl.

I got an email from iHeartradio about them premiering the song tonight. I like the promo pic they used, Prince looks good!
