the issue is what are legit and which are not? Again the fact that youtube says it is legit is not the same and theorg knowing. As long as the youtube channel has the verification badge next to the artist's/celebrity's name, prince.org (and every other website and blog in existence) can act on the reality that this is most definitely a video officially released and authenticated by that celebrity.

And when that celebrity enables embedding for their videos they are giving the public limited license to embed that video on their websites without any legal ramifications. That's in the Youtube Terms Of Service.

There are no legal issues at play here. Again, it's just Ben and the mods acting on good faith (and, yes, paranoia lol).

The channel on j00t00b is vague as it appears self-declared; it could (still!) be a leak at the TV-station that this Aresnio person is working for.

The 'purple seal of approval' is undefined so we still do not know what will be acceptable proof to convince the org accounts that appear to us.

In the old days, would a letter by mr Londell MacMillan have sufficed?

Would a letter by Kiran (as she is said to handle PR) suffice?

I have a theory that he doesn't post more than one video on all his youtube accounts because he always forgets the passwords or something

This a great perspective and agree 99%!!!

The other 1% belongs to the "other" videos that get attached to our search thereafter.

I would like to respectfully retract my comment a couple of pages before and ammend by saying that i think i may understand the tact of the .Org staff!

to confirm (any Mod welcome!), No youtube links cuz of unauthorized videos that may appear as a direct result of our initial search.

Backups.

Maybe they didn't have clearance for it. I mean, the Arsenio account doesn't post full shows on Youtube (just clips), so it seems weird that they'd let someone else do it.

Also, they re-ran the episode just this week (at least in my market)--maybe it was pulled in connection with the re-broadcast?

this is probably only for his upcoming tv appearances.....doesnt seem to be a place for oldies

Thats how he came up with 3rdeyegirl - it was a password

for his myspace account and he just decided to run with it.
