Back on Warner Prince was complaining "they" wouldn't release his albums in the right pace???

Now we are waiting and then waiting and... it seems like we are getting a lot of promotion BEFORE the album (product) is released,


right now Prince is making the usual hype,
tv appearances,
MOJO interview,
etc.

but... the goddamn album.. you still can't buy it.

Yeah I know Prince likes to tease, and to confuse us... and we all shall be patient, right.. we shall be waiting for "the right moment"..?


but:

Where is the "timing" in this promotion for his new album.

What is he seriously waiting for...

I am still afraid this album will fail, like so many before, when it finally has been released.

Damn I am missing those days when Prince's career was run by professionals.

Including, back then:

Single(s), released ahead of the album.
a music video released to the leading single.
Maxi singles, with extended versions and b-sides....

What is happening right now seems like confusion, a mixed bag of promotion,

and, still......... no product. What kind of Magic Moment is he waiting for.. still there's no album..

No idea what Prince is waiting for but to the OP there are two comments:

1. He has released a single before the album - Pretzelbodylogic. In fact if it is on the album (and I think it is from the Mojo article) then two advance singles with Fixurlifeup.

2. Prince released ATWIAD with no advance singles, arguably before the dust had even settled on PR - with Warners agreement (though I bet they would have liked to milk PR a bit longer first).

Its a disgrace if he's given someone $1,000,000 in $10s. Imagine how long that would take to count. Never known a performer to be so nasty to his fans, I'd just reject that and insist on on either $100s or even better a cashiers cheque

people need to stop bringing up the warners stuff when talking about how he does things now. it was over 20 years ago people. prince is a different person now, and the world of entertainment is a completely different thing. get over it, and just be patient.

- There's a supoosed deal with Kobalt

- There's shows in London to celebrate the release of the album

- No info on a release date, yet he breaks of the Hits and Run thing

- He 'listens' to the album with some people (record execs types)

- Now you connect the dots

These supposed friends migth have contacts than can help P's endeavour further along the road.

no not at all; i dont concern myself with release dates thats all not in this day and age..he release it whenver ill dl it..that simple,,,not going to stand in line at Tower records at midnight like i use too ..oh yeah, there is no tower records anymore
