Completely agree , most people outside London and casual Prince fans didn't know anything about the gigs , Britain didn't go Prince crazy , the single went to number 90 in the charts and the ultimate cd collection reached mid 50's in a week when the number one album only sold 20,000 copies .

Exactly! It was funny at first but I threw up a little bit in my mouth when she was singing Kiran's praises. WTF?! I couldn't get to the end and that's the first time I've never been able to listen to something from Peach & Black, normally it's a first class show.

RIP sad

I never make it to the end of their shows when they are reviews of concerts. There is nothing more boring than listening to someone explain how exciting something was to them only because they were there. Especially when you've already seen the setlist. Or heard the bootleg. And someone else is belching through it on a piss-poor microphone.

For what it's worth I disagree.

Hearing a report from the front line - especially when they're as excited, as positive and as knowledgeable this is great, just as it is reading about the concerts on here.

Which other podcast has given an in depth report of these gigs? I'd love to hear them if they're out there. Trust Peach & Black to have their own correspondent ready to deploy!

Despite being in the queue for Koko and reading everything I could find about the London gigs Niki's report is the first I've heard from that soundcheck so that was worth the listen alone.

In terms of Kiran she DID do an amazing job. Maybe it's an exaggeration to say the whole country was talking about Prince but I can't think of another artist who has got as much national coverage as Prince did last month. He was in nearly every national paper, many magazines, blogged about almost daily, national radio even Newsnight for chrissakes! When was the last time a pop/rock star was featured on Newsnight!?

As far as the infamous £70 tweet goes, no one can seriously suggest she did that without Prince's instruction. Clearly he was planning to play that night - maybe at Tate Modern or the V&A as Niki mentioned - and for whatever reason it fell through. It's hardly fair to blame Kiran for that. She becomes the lightning rod for all the fan angst because the main man is inaccessible.

If Prince's management had Twitter during Croke Park, Lotusflow3r.com, the Sign O' The Times tour - any time when fans have rightly been vexed the management would have got in the neck but we all know who's really responsible.

And why shouldn't she ignore/delete complaining tweets? She isn't NPG Customer Service. The frustration is totally understandable but to take it all out on her is not.

I think in years to come this will be remembered as a great chapter in Prince's career and Peach & Black have done a near perfect job of capturing that.

Well, I enjoyed the podcast, probably because I got to see him at Shepherds Bush. I think Niki encapsulates the excitement well - certainly the excitement I had in that he was over here and you didn't know where he was gonna play next - in an incarnation that a lot on the org have been waiting for - straight out rock+funk with guitars, bass and drums.

.

(Although listening to people who continually use the word "AMAAAAAAZING" every other sentence can start to grate - but I let her off as it's Prince wink ).

Brilliant as usual guys... Keep it up!
Was great to finally hear a P&B Podcast talk about a tour I went to.. Think it's a shame she didn't make it to Shepherds Bush or Electric ballroom - that was where the party was at.. And only £10 each smile
