I think I might have heard new track from Plectrum Electrum

The prince penned track for liv Warfield called the Unexpected. You can listen to it online now. When you listen to it, the title of the track cauld have easily been called Wow as it is the main word in the chorus. now on the set list posted on line for one of the ballroom gigs. A new song called Wow was supposed to be played, but anyway they didnt. Anyhow go and check the song out online it sounds just like the kind of song that could go on the album, ( guitar solos etc ). I wonder if prince is going to us this song himself under the title Wow . The song is on the entertaiment magazine website

Prince wrote it for Liv, and then (apparently) played it in concert...I'm not sure hot that means it could be on PE.

it's an ok track, doesn't move the needle. To me it's just a vehicle to showcase her vocal skills.

Wow yes this is excellent. It doesn't even sound like anything Prince would do.

Well i think it does sound like something that he would now perform with 3rdeyegirl. And someone got hold of a sheet with the setlistof one of the shows printed for the show with a song called Wow written on it to perform. Its a bit of a coincidence, dont you think? Anyhow the truth will come out eventually. If the bloody album ever gets released !smile

Good song. I wish this was a 3rd Eye Girl track, it sounds like one, but better than anything I've heard of their recorded output. I can imagine Prince's vocals all over this, his falsetto would sound brilliant here... and the spoken bits, Prince would tear it up! (though Liv does a great job).

Love it. Like the way the vocals ended the song too. Has a nice rock/funk/blues sound to it. Liv's voice is just amazing. So glad Prince sees the value in her singing voice. Patiently waiting to purchase Liv's album.

Not bad. I'd put a hefty bet down on that being Prince playing the solo towards the end.

Has been a good week in Princeworld cool

The guitar tone doesn't remind me of 3EG, though, more like how I wish they sounded.

I know everyone in this thread is assuming the guitar on the song is Prince, but Liv has stated on Twitter and Facebook that the guitar is by Ryan Waters. You know Prince isn't the ONLY one around with musical talent...

Yep, Ryan plays that guitar very well in that song.
