However rightly points out that it is very a badly considered action as he's about to announce a new tour / album. Prince does bad marketing..yet again!..same old , same old!!!

It's good if it generates bad publicity outside of P's fans circles. If the media bring this to the public it may contribute P withdrawing charges that threaten to ruin these people's lives.
